Thursday, November 6, 2008 ( Bad place, Very bad sushi @ 7:35 PM )   ok, survived the E club meeting. better than expected haha...met weihao in the bus and then met sean in school. after the meeting which ended abt 5+ , Evelyn decided to bring us to "I sushi" to try out their sushi cos this was one of the target shops for our venture. Took bus and reached there. when i saw the place i was completely turned off...having sushi in a kopitian atmosphere? surrounded by a durian stall and a hair salon? ok dont say already, i went to pick my sushi, ordered a plate of hana maki(rice with salmon wrapped around and mayo + ebi), 2 california handrolls, one black pepper crab sushi, one ebi, one egg salad. cost me $7.20. worse, the thing does not come with wasabi, you have to pay for the container of wasabi and soy sauce packets, i was thinking "how ridiculous" the hana maki was quite bad, the salmon is not like high quality at all, no taste. damn disappointing, cos i thought it was quite promising because evelyn and melissa found the portions generous, the food delicious , and cheap. but pearlyn and I thought totally otherwise. the only thing i agree with is that the sushi is cheap, but for tt quality i rather not eat. Evelyn was shocked la, hahaz, she didnt expect the feedback that we gave her lol. ok nvm, we decided to go to niwa sushi to try out their sushi, the place not bad, but very small, very squashed. i didnt bother to buy anything cos was totally turned off by I-sushi already, I actually wanted to bring my PW group there to treat them after PW because of evelyns comment that it was cheap and gd, but after trying myself, i know nicholas , zhan hui will kill me cos their taste is as good as mine. i surely get scolded by them. ok when i came back i went for a run, i think i ran for about 2km...so excited for tomorrow, am actually going to go fish-shopping at c328 with nicholas and maybe his bro kenneth if he can make it, then at night i am going to go shop for my BBQ stuff...its 2 days!!!... ok shannon just told me he and SK would be there at 7+ on saturday and i was like (-.-). Hahahaz.. shopping list for tomorrow : at c328 to buy aquatic stuff: sakura or sulawesi, plants, marimo balls. and anything that catches my eye. at night got to : order satay, otah, buy chicken wings, marshmallows, paper plates, corn, sweet potato, bee hoon stuff... etc... thats all i can remember now. 0 comments |
